Job Overview – VBA Access Developer:
Compensation: $50 – $75/hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a VBA Access Developer (Hybrid) for our client in New York, NY. This contract role focuses on migrating legacy Microsoft Access applications with VBA to .NET Core, enhancing SQL Server integrations, and supporting Azure-based solutions. Ideal candidates have strong VBA, .NET, and SQL Server expertise with experience in financial services or other regulated industries.
Responsibilities as the VBA Access Developer:
- Application Migration: Modernize legacy Microsoft Access applications with embedded VBA by converting them into .NET Core web-based solutions.
- Database Optimization: Strengthen data performance and integration using SQL Server, with opportunities to support Azure-based development.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business analysts and end-users to validate requirements and confirm functional accuracy throughout migration.
- Quality Assurance: Support code reviews, testing processes, and deployment activities to ensure reliable, scalable applications.
- Documentation & Support: Create migration plans, technical specifications, and provide post-implementation guidance for long-term system sustainability.
Qualifications for the VBA Access Developer:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field required.
- Experience: 3+ years developing with VBA in Microsoft Access, including migration and modernization, with preferred experience in financial services or other regulated industries.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in VBA Access and .NET Core with expertise in SQL Server and database design, and familiarity with Azure cloud architecture preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
