Atlantic Group is hiring a Valuation Associate (Temporary) in Stamford, CT for our client, supporting private investment valuation activities, reporting processes, and valuation operations within an investment management environment. This role will assist with valuation analyses, reporting deliverables, process improvement initiatives, and internal system enhancements while partnering closely with investment professionals, risk teams, and technology teams. The ideal candidate is analytical, technically strong, and experienced within valuation, private credit, or investment management environments.

Responsibilities as the Valuation Associate (Temporary):

  • Investment Valuation: Perform valuation analyses for private debt investments, credit funds, business development companies, and other private investments using market data and financial information.
  • Valuation Reporting: Prepare valuation reports, committee presentations, and supporting valuation documentation for internal stakeholders and valuation committees.
  • Quality Control & Analysis: Conduct control procedures and valuation reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with valuation methodologies and reporting standards.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance valuation processes, operational workflows, and reporting efficiencies through technology and automation initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with investment teams, risk management, development teams, and external valuation providers on valuation and reporting activities.
  • Market & Industry Research: Monitor market trends, valuation methodologies, regulatory developments, and industry best practices impacting valuation processes.

Qualifications for the Valuation Associate (Temporary):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: 7–10 years of valuation, investment analysis, private credit, or related financial services experience is preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of private debt, valuation methodologies, financial modeling, and investment reporting is required.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills and experience working with valuation models, financial systems, and data analysis tools are required. Experience leveraging automation tools or AI-driven process improvements is strongly preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical abilities, communication skills, attention to detail, presentation skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment are required.
