Job Overview – Traveling Construction Superintendent:
Compensation: $110,000 – $125,000/year + bonus
Location: Allentown, PA (Based in Philadelphia Area with Travel)

Lead field operations as a Traveling Construction Superintendent with our client in the Philadelphia area. You will manage subcontractors, oversee daily activities, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to safety and quality standards. This role includes both out-of-state travel and local Philadelphia projects, ideal for an experienced superintendent in commercial and industrial construction.

Responsibilities as the Traveling Construction Superintendent:

  • Field Oversight: Direct on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and safety regulations.
  • Travel Flexibility: Lead out-of-state projects as needed while supporting Philadelphia-area jobs when local.
  • Subcontractor Management: Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field staff to maintain productivity and quality.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Partner with Project Managers to develop schedules and ensure key milestones are met.
  • Safety & Quality Compliance: Enforce OSHA standards and monitor workmanship to uphold safety and project specifications.

Qualifications for the Traveling Construction Superintendent:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience managing commercial or industrial construction projects as a Superintendent, with proven ability to lead projects from start to finish.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in construction management software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction means and methods, project scheduling, safety standards, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Skills & Attributes: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to travel as needed and manage projects in multiple states.
  • Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
