Atlantic Group is hiring a Temporary Investment Operations Specialist in Jersey City, NJ for our client, supporting fund account onboarding, transaction processing, and operational reconciliation within a high-volume custody environment. In this hybrid role, you will review fund documentation, coordinate with fund companies, perform daily reconciliations, and support operational controls while leveraging internal operations platforms and Excel to ensure accuracy and timely processing.

Responsibilities as the Temporary Investment Operations Specialist:

  • Fund Account Processing: Review and execute account opening documentation, ensuring accurate processing and system setup.
  • Transaction Processing & Reconciliation: Process transactions and perform intraday and end-of-day reconciliations to maintain accuracy.
  • Client Service & Inquiry Resolution: Respond to internal and external inquiries and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify discrepancies, document errors, and partner with teams to resolve operational issues.
  • Reporting & Operational Controls: Maintain daily reports and support process improvements and control procedures.

Qualifications for the Temporary Investment Operations Specialist:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field required.
  • Experience: 1+ years of investment operations, fund operations, or global custody experience within a financial services environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of trade processing, reconciliations, and fund account onboarding workflows preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite required, with custody or fund accounting systems preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented, organized professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and effective written and verbal communication in a fast-paced operations environment.
