Job Overview – Supply Chain Specialist
Compensation: $90,000 – $100,000/year + bonus
Location: Middlesex County, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Supply Chain Specialist in Middlesex County, MA for our client, supporting procurement, inventory planning, and supplier management within a global manufacturing organization. This role partners closely with operations, planning, engineering, quality, and finance teams to ensure material availability, optimize inventory performance, and strengthen supplier relationships. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing purchasing, MRP planning, and supply chain operations within a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities as the Supply Chain Specialist:
- Procurement & Purchasing: Manage the procurement of materials and supplies while maintaining supplier relationships and ensuring timely delivery to support business operations.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, support materials planning, and maintain appropriate inventory to meet operational needs.
- Supplier Management: Partner with suppliers to support sourcing, purchasing, pricing, and delivery while helping maintain a reliable supply chain.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, manufacturing, planning, quality, and other internal teams to support production and resolve supply chain issues.
- Reporting & Process Improvement: Monitor supply chain performance, prepare reports, and identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications for the Supply Chain Specialist:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory management, or materials planning within a manufacturing environment is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience supporting procurement, supplier management, inventory control, and supply chain operations is required. Experience within a manufacturing or regulated industry is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP or MRP systems is required.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, build strong supplier relationships, collaborate across teams, and support continuous process improvement.
