Job Overview – Superintendent (Multifamily):
Step into a key role with our client as a Superintendent (Multifamily) in Pittsburgh, PA. This on-site role is designed for an experienced construction professional to oversee multifamily projects from planning to completion, ensuring seamless execution, quality control, and safety compliance. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage scheduling, enforce OSHA regulations, and maintain efficient site operations.
Compensation: $80,000 – $130,000/year + bonus
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Responsibilities as the Superintendent (Multifamily):
- Site Supervision: Oversee daily operations, ensuring work aligns with project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Subcontractor & Vendor Management: Coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractors for efficiency and compliance.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA standards and ensure adherence to all regulations.
- Quality Control: Conduct inspections, maintain high standards, and address compliance issues.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve construction conflicts through proactive communication.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain job site records, including schedules, progress reports, and punch lists.
Qualifications for the Superintendent (Multifamily):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Science, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in large project multifamily construction, overseeing ground-up and renovation projects.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, use construction scheduling software, and maintain job site documentation.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills with excellent communication and time management abilities.
- Industry Knowledge: Expertise in multifamily residential construction, site logistics, and subcontractor coordination.
- Safety & Compliance: OSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 preferred), with a strong understanding of job site safety protocols.
- Licensure & Transportation: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
