Job Overview – Senior Superintendent (Commercial Construction):
Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000/year + bonus
Location: Montgomery County, PA
Lead on-site operations for large-scale commercial projects as a Senior Superintendent with our client in Montgomery County, PA. Oversee construction across industrial, warehouse, senior living, and healthcare builds, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget goals are met. You’ll manage subcontractors, enforce safety protocols, and partner with the Project Manager to drive successful ground-up execution. Ideal candidates bring hands-on GC experience and a proven track record managing complex job sites.
Responsibilities as the Senior Superintendent:
- Field Leadership: Oversee daily site operations, subcontractor activity, and jobsite logistics to keep projects on track.
- Scheduling & Progress Management: Maintain construction schedules, address delays, and drive workflow efficiency.
- Quality & Safety Oversight: Enforce quality standards and ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Team & Trade Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and supervise subcontractors, inspections, and material deliveries.
- Reporting & Communication: Manage daily logs and provide clear progress updates to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications for the Senior Superintendent:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 5-10 years of on-site leadership for commercial construction projects, with a focus on ground-up builds in industrial, healthcare, and mixed-use environments.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with subcontracting GCs, with preferred exposure to warehouse, senior living, and healthcare projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in construction scheduling software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple subcontractors and resolve field challenges effectively.
- Certifications: OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certifications preferred.
