Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior IT Audit Analyst (Governance & Risk) in Middlesex County, MA (Hybrid) to support our client’s global IT audit, cybersecurity, and compliance efforts. In this role, you’ll lead audits of enterprise systems, assess IT risk, and evaluate controls aligned with frameworks like NIST, COBIT, ISO27001, and SOX. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced IT audit professionals with hands-on exposure to complex environments and strong knowledge of internal audit standards.
Responsibilities as the Senior IT Audit Analyst:
- IT Risk Assessment & Audit Planning: Assess IT risk exposure and contribute to developing a strategic internal audit plan aligned with enterprise risk.
- Audit Execution & Compliance: Lead full-cycle IT audits covering SOX, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance, from planning through reporting and issue resolution.
- Governance & Advisory Support: Provide guidance on IT governance, risk management, and process controls while supporting continuous improvement efforts.
- System Implementation: Audit major IT projects to ensure proper SDLC controls, documentation, and alignment with internal standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with IT, cybersecurity, and second-line risk teams to strengthen controls and deliver actionable audit insights.
Qualifications for the Senior IT Audit Analyst:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Internal Audit, Information Systems Auditing, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of IT audit experience in Big 4 advisory or a public company, with a focus on cybersecurity, IT risk, and controls.
- Certification: CIA, CISA, CISSP, CPA, or equivalent certification required.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of internal audit and IT risk frameworks (IIA, COBIT, NIST, COSO, ISO27001, SOX/PCAOB) with experience auditing complex IT systems and cybersecurity environments.
- Skills & Attributes: Analytical, solutions-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and business teams.
