Job Overview – Security Master Data Associate (Temporary):
Compensation: $80 – $100/hour

Atlantic Group is hiring a Security Master Data Associate (Temporary) in New York, NY for our client. This temporary role oversees the setup and maintenance of security master data across Markit EDM, Everest, and VPM. You’ll ensure data accuracy, support trading and operations, and partner with compliance to maintain firm standards. Ideal candidates have experience in security master and reference data management within asset management or financial services.
Responsibilities as the Security Master Data Associate:
- Data Management: Maintain and update security master data across internal platforms, including Markit EDM, Everest, and VPM.
- Data Integrity: Ensure accuracy, synchronization, and completeness of security reference data such as funds, currencies, and issuers.
- Reconciliation: Conduct daily and monthly reconciliations of CLO trustee reports to identify and correct data discrepancies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Compliance, Operations, and Front Office teams to support trading, asset booking, and policy adherence.
- Quality Control: Uphold data governance standards and controls to ensure consistent, reliable, and compliant reference data.
Qualifications for the Security Master Data Associate:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Experience: 5+ years in security master data management, investment operations, or reference data within asset management or financial services.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Markit EDM, VPM, and Everest with experience using Bloomberg and other data management platforms preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of security reference data, rating agencies, and financial instruments such as bank debt, bonds, structured products, and derivatives.
- Skills & Attributes: Analytical and detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills and a focus on data accuracy, controls, and meeting deadlines in fast-paced environments.
