Job Overview – Provider Enrollment Specialist (Remote):
Compensation: $22 – $23/hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Remote)
Support provider onboarding, credentialing, and data accuracy as a Provider Enrollment Specialist in this fully remote role with our client. In this position, you will handle the full provider enrollment process, maintain accurate provider records, and ensure timely network access and payment. You’ll verify credentialing documentation, submit enrollment applications, coordinate internal approvals, and resolve data discrepancies. Ideal for healthcare professionals with managed care, provider onboarding, and data entry experience.
Responsibilities as the Provider Enrollment Specialist:
- Provider Record Management: Accurately set up and maintain provider records in internal databases to ensure proper provider payment and member access.
- Enrollment Coordination: Manage full enrollment lifecycle by submitting and tracking applications, verifying credentialing documentation, and coordinating approvals with internal departments and payers.
- Data Integrity & Compliance: Review enrollment data for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.
- Provider Communication: Communicate with providers and internal stakeholders to obtain missing information, provide status updates, and resolve issues.
- Process Improvement: Support internal process enhancements by identifying gaps and recommending solutions for efficient provider enrollment operations.
Qualifications for the Provider Enrollment Specialist:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a managed care or healthcare setting with hands-on provider enrollment or credentialing responsibilities.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint) with working knowledge of provider data and claims platforms such as ONYX, FACETS, or similar systems.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks independently, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
