Job Overview – Project Manager (Civil Construction)
Join our client's team as a Project Manager and be part of a leading civil construction company specializing in heavy highway and bridges. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects in Philadelphia and surrounding areas, contributing to the success and growth of our dynamic firm.
Compensation: $125,000.00 – $145,000.00 + bonus + company vehicle
Location: Philadelphia County, PA – Onsite
Responsibilities of the Project Manager (Civil Construction) Include:
- Manage all aspects of civil construction projects, including heavy highway and bridge projects, from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and schedule.
- Lead project teams, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, providing guidance and direction to ensure project objectives are met effectively and efficiently.
- Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating activities and resources to ensure timely completion of project milestones and deliverables.
- Implement quality control measures, monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and standards.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing issues and implementing contingency plans to minimize project disruptions and delays.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies, providing regular project updates and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and project documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Qualifications of the Project Manager (Civil Construction) Include:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in civil construction, with a focus on heavy highway and bridges.
- Experience with PADOT projects highly preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage project teams and stakeholders.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget.
- Knowledge of construction management software and tools.
- Valid driver's license required. Company vehicle provided after 90 days, with mileage reimbursement until then.
