Job Overview – Customer Service Specialist:
We are looking for a Customer Service Specialist with a solid background in high-volume call environments. The successful candidate will exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to manage complex scheduling tasks while providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities as the Customer Service Specialist:

  • Call Handling: Answer, screen, and process a high volume of calls professionally, following scripts and guidelines.
  • Scheduling: Utilize scheduling systems to book appointments, ensuring accuracy in all patient information.
  • Data Coordination: Interpret multiple data sets for efficient scheduling and coordination of services.
  • Information Management: Verify and update demographic information, document referrals, and prepare patients for visits.
  • Communication: Respond to information requests and triage urgent calls to appropriate staff.

Qualifications of the Customer Service Specialist:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years related work experience.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including web-based applications and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience in call center or telephone customer service.
  • Strong typing skills (40+wpm).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Bilingual communication abilities.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving within scope of role.
  • Independence in carrying out assigned tasks.
  • Clear written and oral communication skills.
  • Teamwork and a customer service-oriented attitude.
