Job Overview – Paralegal (Financial Services):
Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000/year + bonus
Location: Boston, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Take on a vital legal support role as a Paralegal with our client’s financial services team in Boston, MA (Hybrid), assisting with legal, compliance, and transaction workflows across private equity and fund structures. This role involves drafting legal documents, maintaining governance records, managing data rooms, and supporting regulatory filings. Ideal candidates have experience in investment management or corporate law, with strong research, communication, and coordination skills.

Responsibilities as the Paralegal (Financial Services):

  • Transactional Support: Manage legal documentation, closing checklists, and due diligence processes for private equity transactions.
  • Entity Governance: Draft and maintain operating agreements, resolutions, and corporate records for fund entities and portfolio companies.
  • Compliance & Filings: Assist with regulatory filings (Form ADV, PF, FATCA, CRS) and ensure fund compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Investor Documentation: Prepare subscription agreements, LPAs, and coordinate investor communications and recordkeeping.
  • Legal Research: Conduct research on legal issues, monitor regulatory changes, and support audits and training initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and liaise with external counsel, auditors, and consultants.

Qualifications for the Paralegal (Financial Services):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Business, or a related field is required.
  • Certification: Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of paralegal experience in a law firm, private equity, investment management, or corporate legal department.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, legal research tools, and document management platforms.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of fund structures, corporate governance, and financial services regulations.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
