Atlantic Group is hiring an Operations Analyst (Temporary) in New York, NY for our client, supporting daily operations, reconciliations, controls, and transaction monitoring in a fast-paced financial services environment. In this in-office role, you will assist with data validation, operational reporting, and control procedures while partnering with accounting, finance, and operations teams. Ideal candidates bring hands-on operations or accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with reconciliation and control frameworks.
Responsibilities as the Operations Analyst:
- Operational Processing & Support: Support day-to-day operational workflows including transaction processing, data validation, and operational reporting.
- Reconciliations & Controls: Perform daily and monthly reconciliations, investigate variances, document findings, and support internal control procedures.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze operational data, prepare reports, and track key metrics and outstanding items for internal stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with accounting, finance, and operations teams to resolve discrepancies and support ongoing initiatives.
- Process Improvement Support: Assist with documenting procedures, identifying inefficiencies, and supporting process improvement efforts.
Qualifications for the Operations Analyst:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of operations, accounting, or financial services support experience with exposure to reconciliations and control processes.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel with experience working in financial systems, accounting platforms, or operational tools.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of operational workflows, account reconciliations, internal controls, and transaction monitoring within financial services.
- Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented, organized professional with strong analytical skills, the ability to manage deadlines, and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
