Job Overview – Network & Systems Administrator:
Compensation: $80,000 – $140,000/year
Location: Montgomery County, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Take on a key role as a Network & Systems Administrator in Montgomery County, PA (Hybrid), managing and evolving enterprise IT infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments. In this hybrid position, you’ll support our client by overseeing network design, cybersecurity protocols, and AWS cloud systems. Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience in systems administration, performance optimization, and multi-site support, helping drive uptime, security, and ongoing technical improvements.

Responsibilities as the Network & Systems Administrator:

  • Network Management: Design, configure, and maintain secure, high-performance networks across all sites, ensuring VLAN integrity and reliable connectivity.
  • Security & Disaster Recovery: Manages firewalls, VPNs, and DNS while implementing backup systems and supporting disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity.
  • Cloud & Systems Administration: Oversee AWS infrastructure and manage patching, updates, and server health across Linux and Windows environments.
  • Enterprise IT Operations: Support Active Directory, GPOs, SSO, cron automation, email relay, and provide hands-on end-user support.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track network performance metrics, troubleshoot issues proactively, and optimize system reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications for the Network & Systems Administrator:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years in enterprise network administration, including routing, switching, and cloud infrastructure, with a track record of supporting high-uptime on-prem and cloud systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in firewall management, VPNs, Active Directory, GPOs, backups, Linux CLI, and Windows Server, with expertise in network monitoring and performance optimization.
  • Platform Knowledge: Experienced with Linux (Ubuntu), Windows OS, and AWS, with working knowledge of Azure and strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networks.
  • Skills & Attributes: Highly organized and resourceful, with strong multitasking abilities and the adaptability to serve as the primary IT infrastructure lead.
  • Travel: Occasional travel required for on-site support and system maintenance.
