Job Overview:
As a member of the clinical care team, the Medical Assistant (MA) is tasked with providing patient care and performing various technical and clinical support activities. Our client values individuals who are aware of the patient's needs and can communicate well with the team. The MA should also be able to comfort patients by addressing their concerns and answering their questions within their scope of practice.
Responsibilities:
As a MA, you will play a vital role in supporting healthcare professionals in providing quality patient care. Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to —
- Assisting healthcare professionals with patient care, including taking vital signs, administering medication, and performing medical procedures as instructed
- Recording and updating medical records and patient information in electronic medical record systems
- Answering phone calls and scheduling appointments
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Assisting with other administrative duties as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program
- Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Basic computer skills

Remuneration:
$20-$24+/hour (salary range is contingent upon individual levels of experience)
