Position Overview – M&A Attorney – Hedge Fund Corporate Counsel:
As an M&A Attorney specializing in Hedge Fund Corporate Counsel, you'll play a pivotal role in complex corporate transactions, capital markets activities, and general corporate matters, reporting to the GC/CCO.
Compensation: $200,000.00 – $225,000.00
Location: New York City (4/5 days in office)
Responsibilities as the M&A Attorney include:
- Provide legal counsel on complex public M&A transactions, restructurings, and other strategic corporate deals, including structuring, due diligence, drafting and negotiating term sheets and definitive documentation, supporting deal closure and post-integration
- Advise on public and private capital markets transactions, related legal agreements, and ongoing inquiries
- Take on special corporate projects and additional tasks assigned by the General Counsel
Qualifications for the M&A Attorney include:
- The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have meticulous attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to produce high quality work product in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- At least 3-5 years of general corporate experience, specializing in M&A and capital markets
- Ability to work well in fast-paced business and evolving legal environment and to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Highly motivated, self-starter who takes initiative
- Positive attitude, and willingness to roll up sleeves (no job too big, no job too small)
- Collaborative team member with a high level of professionalism and outstanding business judgment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Active membership in the NY state bar
