Job Overview – Legal & Compliance Paralegal:
Compensation: $115,000 – $130,000/year base ($150,000 – $200,000 All-In)
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Legal & Compliance Paralegal in New York, NY (Hybrid) to support our client, a leading investment management firm. You will assist with fund launches, marketing material reviews, regulatory filings, compliance monitoring, and legal documentation while maintaining key compliance records. This role is ideal for paralegals with financial services experience who excel at meeting deadlines and collaborating across teams.
Responsibilities as the Legal & Compliance Paralegal:
- Fund Launch Support: Coordinate fund document reviews, manage execution and timelines, and liaise with internal teams and outside counsel to ensure smooth launches.
- Marketing Material Review: Track deadlines, consolidate comments, manage version control, and ensure consistency across disclosures, footnotes, and investor questionnaires.
- Compliance Monitoring: Maintain logs of marketing and lobbying advice, track NDAs, support Restricted List management, and assist with ESG compliance reviews.
- Regulatory Filings & Record-Keeping: Assist with questionnaires, submissions, and record management to meet compliance deadlines and regulatory requirements.
- Compliance Systems Oversight: Manage compliance software workflows, oversee employee questionnaires and attestations, and troubleshoot issues.
- Team & Policy Support: Maintain task trackers, prepare for monthly compliance meetings, monitor expert network usage, and assist with policy and procedure updates.
Qualifications for the Legal & Compliance Paralegal:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 1-4 years as a paralegal in financial services, investment management, or private equity with legal and compliance experience supporting multiple attorneys in fast-paced environments.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with experience using compliance or workflow management software.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong organizational, communication, and detail-oriented skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently while contributing effectively to a team.
