Job Overview – Legal Administrative Assistant
Compensation: $55,000 – $70,000/year
Location: Norristown, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Legal Administrative Assistant in Norristown, PA for our client, supporting attorney scheduling, docket management, electronic filing, and high-volume legal administration. This role will provide dedicated support to a partner while collaborating with a paralegal across landlord-tenant and litigation matters. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities as the Legal Administrative Assistant:
- Attorney Support: Provide day-to-day administrative support to an attorney, including calendar management, scheduling, correspondence, and document preparation.
- Docket Management: Maintain calendars, deadlines, court dates, and other time-sensitive legal matters to ensure accurate and timely follow-up.
- Electronic Filing: Prepare, organize, and submit legal documents through applicable electronic filing systems while maintaining accurate records.
- Document Management: Draft, format, proofread, organize, and maintain legal correspondence, pleadings, and case-related materials.
- Case Coordination: Assist with administrative tasks related to landlord-tenant and litigation matters while coordinating with attorneys, paralegals, courts, and external parties.
- Administrative Support: Manage a high volume of requests, maintain organized files, and assist with additional legal and office projects as needed.
Qualifications for the Legal Administrative Assistant:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s or associate degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant, Legal Secretary, or in a similar legal support role within a law firm is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with legal scheduling, docketing, electronic filing, and document preparation is required. Litigation experience is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management, docketing, and electronic filing systems is required.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong organization, communication, attention to detail, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to maintain accuracy, prioritize deadlines, and handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
