Job Overview – Intake Coordinator
Compensation: $23 – $25/hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
TAG MedStaffing is hiring an Intake Coordinator in San Diego, CA for our client, supporting case intake, administrative coordination, and client services. This role is responsible for processing referrals, maintaining accurate records, supporting front office operations, and ensuring a positive experience for participants throughout the intake process. The ideal candidate has strong administrative skills, excellent customer service abilities, and experience working in a fast-paced office environment.
Responsibilities as the Intake Coordinator:
- Referral Management: Process incoming referrals, enter information into the case management system, and ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate.
- Client Intake: Complete intake summaries, obtain required signatures, and maintain organized participant records in accordance with established procedures.
- Administrative Support: Assist with mail distribution, document management, data entry, and other administrative functions that support daily office operations.
- Customer Service: Welcome participants, respond to inquiries, and provide professional assistance while maintaining a positive client experience.
- Case Coordination: Monitor intake activities to support timely processing and maintain accurate case information throughout the intake process.
- Office Collaboration: Work closely with internal staff and external partners while providing general administrative support and assisting with special projects as needed.
Qualifications for the Intake Coordinator:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of administrative, intake, customer service, or case support experience is required. Experience within social services, healthcare, or a related field is preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with case management processes, client intake procedures, or social service programs is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, data entry, and case management or database systems is required.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong communication, organizational, customer service, and time management skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize multiple tasks, and build positive working relationships are required.
