Job Overview – Healthcare Credentialing Specialist (Temp to Perm):
Compensation: $30 – $34/hour

Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time (Monday to Friday)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Healthcare Credentialing Specialist in Philadelphia, PA, to support our client with the full scope of credentialing, payer enrollment, and privileging processes for healthcare providers. In this temp-to-perm role, you will maintain provider files, update CAQH attestations, and ensure compliance with NCQA, HRSA, FTCA, and federal and state regulations. This position is ideal for detail-oriented professionals with credentialing experience who thrive in fast-paced healthcare environments and excel in accuracy, organization, and compliance management.
Responsibilities as the Healthcare Credentialing Specialist:
- Credentialing & Enrollment: Oversee all credentialing, re-credentialing, payer enrollment, and privileging processes to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Documentation Management: Maintain provider files, track licenses and certifications, and uphold compliance with credentialing documentation standards.
- Provider Onboarding: Support new provider onboarding by verifying credentials, completing payer applications, and preparing required documentation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to NCQA, NPDB, HRSA, FTCA, and federal/state regulations while conducting exclusion checks.
- Database & Reporting: Update CAQH attestations, manage credentialing system updates, and prepare reports for leadership and committee review.
Qualifications for the Healthcare Credentialing Specialist:
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, or a related field required.
- Experience: 2-4 years of credentialing or medical staff services experience in healthcare, with preference for backgrounds in community health centers or behavioral health settings.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and credentialing database applications, with experience updating and maintaining CAQH systems preferred.
- Certification: NAMSS certification (CPCS or CPMSM) strongly preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong communication skills, detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask while working independently or within a team.
- Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of credentialing standards, NCQA guidelines, HRSA, FTCA, NPDB, and federal and state licensing regulations.
