Role Overview:
Join a well-established road construction company as a Health & Safety Engineer. In this newly created role, you will have the opportunity to shape safety procedures and champion employee well-being across our client’s organization.
Compensation: $75,000.00 – $125,000.00
Location: Hyde Park, Massachusetts
Responsibilities for the Safety Engineer include:
• Administering and managing health and safety programs
• Inspecting jobsites, training employees, and advising on hazard mitigation
• Building fleet monitoring and telematics program from the ground up
• Reporting and documenting near-misses, accidents, and injuries
• Supporting field operations as needed (attending meetings, taking measurements, providing oversight)
• Potential to grow into risk control, insurance, and claims management
Qualifications of the Safety Engineer include:
• 1-3 years in civil construction or heavy highway safety supervisory role
• OSHA 30 certification
• First Aid and CPR certifications
• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Valid driver's license
• Unwavering commitment to safety and a keen awareness of risk
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support operations
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
