Job Overview – Estimator (Healthcare Construction)
As an Estimator, you will play a vital role in our client's construction projects, specializing in the Healthcare space. This position is open for candidates to work out of our client's Delaware County office.
Compensation: $110,000.00 – $130,000.00 + bonus
Location: Delaware County, PA – Onsite
Responsibilities as the Estimator (Healthcare Construction) include:
- Document Review and Analysis: Examine construction documents to understand bid scope and requirements.
- Pre-Bid Engagement: Attend pre-bid meetings, assessing site conditions and project scope.
- Estimation Process: Analyze project documents, considering changes, constructability, and value engineering. Obtain material pricing and prepare estimates using company software
- Subcontractor/Vendor Engagement: Generate interest from subcontractors/vendors and present estimates to the management team.
- Performance Evaluation: Evaluate self-performed work, comparing estimated and actual costs. Additionally, analyze unsuccessful bids for process improvement.
Qualifications for the Estimator (Healthcare Construction):
- High school diploma or GED required; a degree in Engineering is preferred.
- 5+ years of estimating experience within the Healthcare space.
- Basic construction knowledge/experience.
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
