Job Overview – Director of Safety:
Step into an exciting role with our client as the Director of Safety! This full-time role is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and oversight of comprehensive safety programs and initiatives, ensuring the safety and well-being of employees, customers, and the public.

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000/year
Location: Montgomery County, PA

Key Responsibilities as the Director of Safety:

  • Safety Program Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures to meet regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Compliance Management: Lead efforts to achieve and sustain compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA requirements.
  • Audit and Inspection: Implement a system to track and report safety audits and inspections, compile findings, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Data Management: Manage online data systems for contractor and customer prequalification and compliance.
  • Training and Development: Design and deliver safety training programs for all employees, integrate safety training into onboarding and professional development.
  • Incident Management: Oversee the investigation of safety incidents, identify root causes, and recommend preventive measures.
  • Fleet Safety Management: Ensure vehicles and equipment meet safety standards, implement fleet safety policies, and monitor driver safety.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in safety performance through regular review and enhancement of safety protocols.

Qualifications for the Director of Safety:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Certification: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years in a senior safety leadership role, preferably in an industrial or construction environment.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and relevant safety standards.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Fleet Management: Experience managing fleet safety and working with fleet management systems.
