Role Overview:
Our client, a leading global growth investor, is seeking a Custody Specialist to join its Finance, Legal, and Quantitative Research group. The Custody Specialist will be responsible for transaction settlement, securities maintenance, regulatory reporting, and portfolio company analysis. Please note this is a temp-to-hire role. 

Compensation: $85,000.00 – $100,000.00/YR | $35.00 – $50.00 /HR
Location/Office Policy: New York City – hybrid (3 days in office, 2 remote)

Responsibilities of the Custody Specialist include: 
•    Coordinate custody aspects of portfolio company transactions
•    Maintain securities database and ensure data integrity
•    Prepare asset verification analysis for external audits
•    Assist with data management platform for portfolio company analysis
•    Liaise with external service providers (brokers, custodians, transfer agents)
•    Manage custody and brokerage account openings and maintenance
•    Perform security holdings reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
•    Compile data for internal and external reporting
•    Review regulatory and compliance reports (SEC filings, audit independence)
•    Manage portfolio company D&O insurance policy collection and review
•    Respond to ad hoc requests and anticipate stakeholder needs
•    Identify process improvement and automation opportunities

Qualifications of the Custody Specialist include:
•    Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline
•    1-3 years of relevant experience
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
•    Excellent communication and analytical skills
•    Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality
•    Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
•    Proactive and organized with a strong ownership mindset
