Job Overview – Controller – Construction:
We are looking for a part-time Construction Controller with experience in construction accounting to join our team. This position requires a commitment of 10-20 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to accommodate the candidate’s availability. There is potential for this role to transition to full-time as the company expands.
Compensation: $40 per hour
Location: Maspeth, NY
Responsibilities as the Controller – Construction:
- Oversee and manage all accounting aspects of construction projects.
- Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with construction accounting standards and practices.
- Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets and project progress.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable specific to construction projects.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and financial audits related to construction activities.
- Develop and implement financial control systems and procedures to improve efficiency.
Qualifications – Controller – Construction:
- Proven experience in construction accounting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management within the construction industry.
- Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate part-time hours with potential to increase as needed.
