Job Overview – Construction Superintendent:
Lead our client's construction projects as a Construction Superintendent in Pennsauken, NJ. This role requires a self-starter with strong organizational skills to manage subcontractors, oversee quality control, and ensure project schedules align with completion timelines. You'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality construction outcomes while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and ensuring safety standards are upheld.

Compensation: $75,000 – $90,000/year
Location: Pennsauken, NJ (On-Site)

Responsibilities as the Construction Superintendent:

  • Subcontractor Management: Direct, coordinate, and schedule the work of subcontractors to meet performance criteria, scopes of work, and construction standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor subcontractor workmanship to ensure adherence to construction documents, creating punch lists for deficiencies and enforcing quality standards.
  • Project Scheduling: Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion in alignment with contract deadlines.
  • Inspections & Material Management: Coordinate inspections with municipal building departments and review material deliveries for accuracy and completeness.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Assist the Project Manager with daily reports and maintain comprehensive records of project progress.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce the company’s safety program and address any potential safety risks proactively.

Qualifications for the Construction Superintendent:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Affordable Housing or Multifamily Construction, with expertise in wood-frame construction and site work.
  • Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Construction Knowledge: Deep understanding of quality building practices, safety procedures, and project coordination.
