Atlantic Group is hiring a Construction Project Manager for our client in Newark, NJ. This on-site role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with expertise in managing site operations, subcontractors, budgeting, and deadlines. Lead the full lifecycle of commercial and residential projects, ensuring successful execution from pre-construction to closeout while collaborating with architects, engineers, and internal teams.

Responsibilities as the Construction Project Manager:

  • Project Oversight: Manage daily on-site operations and coordinate subcontractors to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Timeline & Budget Management: Monitor construction timelines and costs, ensuring adherence to project milestones and estimates.
  • Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination: Supervise subcontractor performance, hold site meetings, and align work with project goals and safety protocols.
  • Billing & Documentation: Prepare billing requisitions, maintain project documentation, and assist with financial reporting and change order tracking.
  • Quality & Safety Compliance: Ensure work meets quality standards and regulatory compliance, including OSHA and site-specific safety measures.

Qualifications for the Construction Project Manager:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with proven success leading commercial or residential builds.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar), Microsoft Office Suite, and project scheduling tools.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, permitting, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Skills & Attributes: Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills with the ability to problem-solve, motivate teams, and manage multiple priorities.
