Job Overview – Construction HVAC Superintendent:
Our client is looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to join their expanding team in Massachusetts. This full-time role is perfect for someone with HVAC or sheet metal experience who is eager to grow into a full supervisory role within a dynamic construction management environment.
Location: Boston, MA (includes travel to various sites across Massachusetts)
Compensation: $75,000 – $100,000/year + bonus
Responsibilities as the Construction Superintendent:
- Supervision: Oversee subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
- Schedule Management: Maintain and update the construction schedule to ensure timely project completion.
- Commissioning & Testing: Prepare for commissioning and perform mechanical testing and troubleshooting as needed.
- Project Oversight: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating closely with the project manager to achieve project goals.
- Resource Management: Utilize a company-provided pick-up truck for project-related activities and reasonable personal use.
Qualifications for the Construction Superintendent:
- Experience: 5-7 years as an HVAC service technician with refrigeration experience or as a sheet metal foreman.
- Desire to Learn: Eagerness to transition into a construction management position and grow into a full supervisory role.
- Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficient in mechanical systems and troubleshooting.
