Job Overview – Construction Foreman
Join our client's team as a Construction Foreman and take the lead in exciting construction projects across various sectors including commercial, multi-family, and senior assisted living facilities. This role offers the opportunity to showcase your leadership skills, oversee project execution, and contribute to the success of our dynamic construction team.
Compensation: $70,000.00 – $100,000.00 + bonus
Location: Dauphin County, PA – Onsite
Responsibilities as the Construction Foreman include:
- Lead construction projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, timeliness, and safety compliance.
- Direct and supervise a team including laborers and carpenters, providing guidance and support throughout the construction process.
- Collaborate with the Superintendent to develop project schedules, allocate resources, and manage project budgets.
- Coordinate all phases of construction activities, including site preparation, framing, electrical, plumbing, and finishing work.
- Interpret and implement construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or obstacles, and implement corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, enforcing site safety protocols and conducting regular safety inspections.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure project objectives are met.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Qualifications of the Construction Foreman include:
- 5+ years of experience in construction foreman work.
- Previous experience in a construction leadership role, preferably as a Foreman or Supervisor.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices, with the ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software is a plus.
