Job Overview – Construction Estimator (Commercial):
Take on a key role with our client as a Construction Estimator (Commercial) in Delaware County, PA. This in-office position focuses on preparing accurate cost estimates, securing bids, and managing pre-construction planning for commercial projects. You will analyze project specifications, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure cost-effective and high-quality project execution.

Compensation: $80,000 – $120,000/year + bonus
Location: Delaware County, PA

Responsibilities as the Construction Estimator (Commercial):

  • Project Estimation: Develop detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for commercial construction projects.
  • Bid Management: Identify opportunities, review blueprints, and coordinate with vendors for competitive pricing.
  • Contract Negotiation: Optimize material selection, analyze costs, and negotiate contracts for budget efficiency.
  • Pre-Construction Planning: Assist with risk assessments, scheduling, and team coordination for smooth execution.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with clients, architects, and project teams to align on project scope and budget.

Qualifications for the Construction Estimator (Commercial):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of commercial construction estimating experience, with a focus on drywall and carpentry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, estimating software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar), and project management tools.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of blueprint reading, construction materials, and building codes, with experience in cost control and risk management.
  • Skills: Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong communication and negotiation abilities to manage deadlines and collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
