Job Overview – Compliance Analyst
Compensation: $100,000 – $115,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Compliance Analyst in New York, NY for our client, supporting regulatory compliance, employee compliance monitoring, surveillance activities, and operational controls within an alternative asset management environment. This opportunity offers exposure across private equity, hedge funds, venture capital, and investment advisory activities while working closely with compliance leadership on core regulatory and governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring compliance, legal, operations, or financial services experience and a strong interest in investment adviser compliance.
Responsibilities as the Compliance Analyst:
- Employee Compliance: Review personal trading requests, monitor employee trading activity, and support compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Compliance Monitoring: Maintain restricted lists, watch lists, surveillance records, and monitoring processes while identifying and escalating potential compliance issues.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Support employee onboarding, certifications, disclosures, training requirements, and compliance-related offboarding procedures.
- Recordkeeping & Controls: Maintain compliance records, documentation, approvals, and audit trails to support internal controls and regulatory examinations.
- Compliance Operations: Assist with recurring reconciliations, certifications, testing procedures, reporting requirements, and governance initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Support compliance projects, workflow enhancements, and operational improvements across compliance systems and procedures.
Qualifications for the Compliance Analyst:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in compliance, legal, operations, financial services, investment management, or a related control-oriented environment is required
- Industry Knowledge: Exposure to regulatory compliance, risk management, or investment-related environments is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required, and experience with compliance monitoring systems or employee trading platforms is preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are required.
