Job Overview – Compensation Manager (Business Operations):
Compensation: $140,000 – $200,000/year + bonus
Location: Boston, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is partnering with our client to hire a Compensation Manager (Business Operations) in Boston, MA (Hybrid) to lead planning, benchmarking, and analytics for a global financial services team. You’ll manage annual compensation cycles, support offer development, ensure compliance with pay regulations, and collaborate with Human Capital, Finance, Legal, and Operations. Ideal candidates have advanced Excel skills, a data-driven mindset, and experience in fast-paced environments like private equity or financial services.
Responsibilities as the Compensation Manager (Business Operations):
- Compensation Strategy & Planning: Lead annual compensation planning for Business Operations, managing timelines, data accuracy, and reporting deliverables.
- Benchmarking & Market Analysis: Conduct deep compensation benchmarking to ensure competitive pay positioning, partnering with Human Capital Business Partners on results.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate across Human Capital, Finance, Legal, and Tech to support key compensation cycles, reporting, and problem-solving initiatives.
- Firmwide Alignment: Ensure alignment of Business Operations compensation with firmwide philosophy and strategic initiatives.
- Recruitment Support: Partner with recruiters to design market-competitive offer packages for prospective hires.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and apply current compensation regulations and trends to ensure full legal compliance across jurisdictions.
Qualifications for the Compensation Manager (Business Operations):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field required.
- Experience: 6-10 years of progressive compensation experience, preferably within financial services, private equity, or similarly complex, global organizations.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills with strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and data tools, and experience with compensation or HRIS systems.
- Skills & Attributes: Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage data, prioritize in fast-paced environments, and build trust across all levels.
