Job Overview – Commercial Lines Account Manager:
Our insurance client is seeking a dedicated Commercial Lines Account Manager to join their team in Hartford, CT. This hybrid role involves providing exceptional account servicing to a book of assigned accounts in either the Casualty or Habitational Unit. The ideal candidate will support assigned Producers by placing and processing new business and retaining renewals through superior service support.
Location: Hartford, CT
Compensation: $70,000 – $90,000/year + bonus (Dependent on experience)
Schedule: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Commercial Lines Account Manager:
- Client Support: Respond to client inquiries and incoming requests promptly.
- Renewal Meetings: Attend renewal meetings monthly with the Marketing Team and Producers; prepare applications and support documents for submission.
- Account Management: Manage, underwrite, and market all current accounts, handling customer relations and support services.
- Administrative Duties: Handle new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, billing, accounting, and accuracy purposes.
- Document Handling: Issue binders, evidence of property, certificates, and other client requests.
- Carrier Updates: Procure and provide carrier updates and valuable market condition changes to the department.
- Industry Participation: Participate in industry-related trade organizations such as CAI, PIA, and IIAC.
Qualifications for the Commercial Lines Account Manager:
- Experience: Comprehensive knowledge of Commercial Insurance.
- License: PC Insurance Producer License required in the domicile state.
- Skills and Attributes: Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high-volume environment.
- Technical Skills: Excellent computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
