Job Overview – Bookkeeping Assistant (Part-Time):

Atlantic Group is hiring a Part-Time Bookkeeping Assistant in Delaware County, PA, for our client. In this part-time role, you’ll support daily accounting operations, manage AP/AR, assist with reconciliations, and maintain accurate records in QuickBooks and Excel. Responsibilities as the Bookkeeping Assistant:
- Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile POS and sales records to ensure accuracy and financial data integrity.
- Reporting Support: Assist in preparing weekly and monthly financial statements and reports.
- Compliance Verification: Verify resale licenses across applicable U.S. states and maintain up-to-date compliance documentation.
- Documentation: Organize and manage invoices, receipts, and other financial records for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
Qualifications for the Bookkeeping Assistant:
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- Experience: Previous bookkeeping or accounting support experience with a background in small business or nonprofit environments preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks with experience using accounting or POS systems.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP) and bookkeeping best practices.
- Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented and analytical with strong math, organization, and communication skills, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a part-time role.
