Job Overview- Assistant Project Manager – Electrical:
Our client is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support Project Executives and Project Managers with day-to-day activities. This role is ideal for candidates with around 3 years of experience, particularly those with a Mechanical Engineering degree.
Location: Lynnfield, MA
Compensation: $80,000 – $92,000/year
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Assistant Project Manager:
- Assist with job quotes and estimates.
- Manage field workforce and customer relations.
- Handle general project management tasks.
- Open new projects and estimate manpower needs.
- Prepare and deliver quotations to customers.
- Coordinate project installations.
- Maintain change order logs and track job progress.
- Review and interpret submittals for field foremen.
- Prepare equipment installation schedules and manage material submittals.
- Closeout jobs and provide manuals to customers.
- Support administrative functions, including accounting.
Qualifications for the Assistant Project Manager:
- 1-3 years of experience in the construction industry preferred.
- Degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Background in HVAC controls is a plus.
- Comfortable reading blueprints and drawings.
- Experience with Bluebeam and Procore software.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Familiarity with contract and subcontract documents.
