Job Overview – Assistant General Counsel (Investment Management)
Compensation: $225,000 – $250,000/year (All-In)

Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Atlantic Group is hiring an Assistant General Counsel (Investment Management) in Greenwich, CT for our client, supporting transactional, regulatory, and corporate legal matters within an asset management environment. In this in-office role, you will draft and negotiate agreements, advise on compliance and governance, and partner with senior leadership, external counsel, and business teams to support investment and operational initiatives.
Responsibilities as the Assistant General Counsel:
- Transactional Legal Support: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and transactional documents supporting investment and corporate activities.
- Regulatory & Compliance Advisory: Provide legal guidance on regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
- External Advisor Coordination: Liaise with outside counsel, auditors, tax advisors, and service providers on legal matters.
- Employment & Risk Matters: Support employment, HR, and insurance-related legal issues while helping manage risk.
- Business Partnership: Collaborate with senior leadership to deliver practical legal advice aligned with business objectives.
Qualifications for the Assistant General Counsel:
- Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) required with active bar membership in good standing.
- Experience: 2+ years of transactional legal experience within a law firm or asset management firm, with exposure to corporate, M&A, securities, or restructuring matters.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with investment management regulations, SEC compliance, and fund structures preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and legal research skills required.
- Skills & Attributes: Business-oriented legal professional with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to provide practical, solutions-focused legal guidance in a fast-paced environment.
