Job Overview – Accounting Clerk:
We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Clerk to support the accounting department's daily operations. This role blends accounting and administrative responsibilities and is perfect for a proactive individual willing to take on tasks beyond the job description to support the team. This is an in-office position, located in New York, NY.

Compensation: Hourly pay: $20-30/hr
Location: New York, NY

Responsibilities as the Accounting Clerk:

  • Assist in all accounting department functions to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Verify and process invoices and make check disbursements.
  • Manage remote check deposits and account postings.
  • Assist with payroll processing and general clerical duties.
  • Maintain confidential information professionally.

Qualifications for the Accounting Clerk:

  • Associate degree in accounting or relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in time management and task prioritization.
  • Skilled in using accounting software such as Quickbooks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • No objections to performing administrative tasks as needed.
