Responsibilities

 

  • Provide general administrative support to the General Counsel and Legal/Compliance team
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings and conference calls; ensure attendees are provided all relevant information (location, dial-in, etc.)
  • Request signatures from authorized signatories via DocuSign or otherwise, arrange fully executed versions and circulate to the appropriate parties
  • Track and save fully executed documents in the appropriate file
  • Track vendor contract renewals
  • Assist with processing of legal bills, including calculation of allocation percentages
  • Manage various compliance projects including the restricted list, brokerage statements and transaction reports
  • Assist generally in collaborative approach to compliance obligations of SEC-registered investment adviser (e.g., revision, administration and testing of compliance manual, policies and procedures and related documentation)
  • Assist in ongoing compliance training of existing employees and orientation for new hires
  • Request quarterly position (REPO) sheet with costs
  • Submit Monthly Suppression of Terrorism and Canadian Sanctions Report
  • Assist with other disclosure documents (e.g., Form ADV, Form PF)
  • Assist with day-to-day legal matters pertaining to fund and operations (e.g., participation on committees, service provider arrangements, investor queries and requests)
  • Assist with corporate governance
  • Assist in post-closing deal matters, including monitoring receipt of final documents and tearsheets describing the completed deal
  • Provide back-up support to administrative team and perform other duties as needed. Reception coverage will be required of all administrative staff as needed due to our firm’s size.

 

Requirements

 

  • Ideal candidate has 2+ years professional legal assistance or paralegal experience in a top-tier law firm.
  • Team player with emphasis on ability to work well with people.
