Compensation: $75,000 – $90,000/year

Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office, Overtime Required)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Fabrication Shop Foreman in New York, NY for our client, overseeing daily fabrication operations, production workflow, safety, inventory, and shop personnel. The Fabrication Shop Foreman will supervise a union workforce, assign and prioritize work, and coordinate production activities to maintain quality and delivery schedules. This role requires hands-on manufacturing or fabrication leadership experience, with steel or reinforcing bar experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities as the Fabrication Shop Foreman:

  • Shop Supervision: Direct and supervise fabrication employees while assigning work, monitoring performance, and maintaining an efficient production environment.
  • Production Management: Coordinate daily workflow, schedules, and shop activities to meet production requirements and on-time delivery expectations.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce workplace safety requirements, company policies, and incident reporting procedures across shop operations.
  • Quality Control: Monitor fabrication activities to maintain product quality, accuracy, productivity, and operational standards.
  • Inventory & Logistics: Oversee material inventory and coordinate with operations, dispatch, and maintenance teams to support production and shipping activities.
  • Team Leadership: Support employee training, performance, communication, teamwork, and personnel decisions while effectively supervising a union workforce.

Qualifications for the Fabrication Shop Foreman:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required, with technical, manufacturing, construction, or related training preferred.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of fabrication, manufacturing, steel, construction materials, or related industrial experience is required, including supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience supervising employees in a union environment is required, with steel fabrication, reinforcing bar, or related construction materials experience strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of fabrication processes, materials, inventory management, production scheduling, shop equipment, and workplace safety practices is required.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership, organization, communication, judgment, time management, teamwork, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment are required.
