Job Overview – Construction Project Coordinator (CAD)
Compensation: $25–$30/hour (Dependent on Experience)
Location: Delaware County, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Construction Project Coordinator (CAD) in Delaware County, PA for our client, supporting CAD drafting, construction documentation, blueprint interpretation, and project coordination within a construction and fabrication environment. This temp-to-hire or direct hire opportunity will coordinate project requirements, prepare and revise technical drawings, and support fabrication and delivery activities. The ideal candidate has CAD or drafting experience with the ability to read construction drawings and manage multiple project priorities.
Responsibilities as the Construction Project Coordinator (CAD):
- CAD Drafting: Prepare accurate construction and fabrication drawings using CAD software based on structural plans, specifications, and project requirements.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate project activities, schedules, documentation, and requirements with fabrication, engineering, and other internal teams.
- Technical Detailing: Develop placing plans, material details, and supporting documentation required for fabrication and installation activities.
- Drawing Revisions: Update drawings and plans based on project changes while identifying and resolving dimensional or specification discrepancies.
- Client Communication: Communicate with project stakeholders regarding drawings, revisions, fabrication requirements, schedules, and technical questions.
- Project Documentation: Maintain organized drawing files, revision logs, release documentation, change orders, and other project records.
Qualifications for the Construction Project Coordinator (CAD):
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required, with technical training in drafting, CAD, construction, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Previous CAD, drafting, construction project coordination, detailing, or related technical experience is required, with rebar detailing experience preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation is preferred.
- Technical Skills: CAD software experience is required, with AutoCAD, MicroStation, aSa, or comparable drafting and detailing software experience preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong project coordination, attention to detail, organization, time management, problem-solving, communication, and ability to manage multiple priorities are required.
