Job Overview – Financial Analyst (Temporary)
Compensation: $40/hour
Location: Stamford, CT
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Financial Analyst (Temporary) in Stamford, CT for our client, supporting financial planning and analysis, accounts payable, expense forecasting, and financial reporting. This hybrid role will assist with month-end and year-end close, cash flow forecasting, reconciliations, budget consolidation, and audit support during a high-volume period. The position will also provide reporting, documentation, and cross-functional coordination across finance and accounting teams.
Responsibilities as the Financial Analyst (Temporary):
- Financial Planning: Assist with expense forecasts, departmental budget consolidation, and financial planning deliverables.
- Accounts Payable Support: Provide invoice coding, audit documentation, and backup support during month-end and year-end close.
- Cash Flow Forecasting: Analyze accounts payable activity and support short-term cash flow projections and fixed asset planning.
- Reconciliations: Perform general ledger and prepaid asset reconciliations, process reclassifications, and coordinate accrual activity.
- Variance Analysis: Compare actual results to forecasts, investigate differences, and prepare follow-up analysis for finance leadership.
Qualifications for the Financial Analyst (Temporary):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 5+ years of financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, accounts payable, or financial reporting experience is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with fixed asset accounting, fund accounting, financial close, budgeting, forecasting, or audit support is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup formulas, and large data files, are required, and experience with ERP or invoice processing systems is preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently or across teams.
