Atlantic Group is hiring a Temporary Fund Controller (Private Credit) in Los Angeles, CA for our client, supporting fund accounting, fund operations, financial reporting, and private credit fund administration activities. This temporary role focuses on full-cycle fund accounting responsibilities, including NAV calculations, investor reporting, capital activity, and financial statement preparation. The ideal candidate brings extensive fund accounting experience within private credit, private equity, or alternative investment environments.

Responsibilities as the Temporary Fund Controller (Private Credit):

  • Fund Accounting: Oversee full-cycle fund accounting activities for private investment funds, including NAV calculations and period-end close processes.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, investor reports, and supporting fund-level reporting deliverables.
  • Capital Activity: Manage capital calls, distributions, investor allocations, and related fund transactions.
  • Fund Operations: Coordinate fund cash activity, reconciliations, and operational accounting processes.
  • Audit Support: Partner with external auditors and service providers during audit and reporting cycles.

Qualifications for the Temporary Fund Controller (Private Credit):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required (CPA preferred).
  • Experience: 8-10+ years of fund accounting, fund administration, fund finance, or related investment accounting experience is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience supporting private credit, credit funds, private equity funds, or alternative investment vehicles is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with fund accounting, financial reporting, capital activity, and Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are required.
