Job Overview – Commercial Lines Account Manager
Compensation: $90,000 – $125,000/year + bonus
Location: Providence County, RI
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Commercial Lines Account Manager in Providence County, RI for our client, supporting commercial insurance account servicing and client relationship management within a fast-paced agency environment. This role will manage the overall workflow and servicing lifecycle for a book of commercial lines business, including policy administration, renewals, client communications, and carrier coordination. The ideal candidate is organized, client-focused, and experienced handling commercial insurance accounts within an agency setting.
Responsibilities as the Commercial Lines Account Manager:
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial lines clients while providing guidance on coverage, risk exposure, and policy-related inquiries.
- Policy Administration: Process applications, renewals, endorsements, certificates, cancellations, reinstatements, binders, invoicing, and related policy transactions.
- Renewal Coordination: Manage renewal timelines, renewal quotations, outstanding renewal activity, and policy servicing workflows.
- Carrier & Client Communication: Respond to carrier inquiries, client requests, audits, and policy discrepancy questions while maintaining strong communication standards.
- Documentation & Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate client files, policy documentation, and task management records within agency systems.
- Cross-Functional Support: Assist with workers’ compensation documentation, loss runs, accounting notifications, and provide backup support to team members as needed.
Qualifications for the Commercial Lines Account Manager:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
- Licensure: Active Producer license is required.
- Experience: 1+ years of commercial insurance experience within an agency environment is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, policy servicing, and insurance terminology is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with insurance agency management systems is preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong communication skills, multitasking abilities, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment are required.
