Atlantic Group is partnering with an investment management organization seeking a Paralegal to support a busy Legal & Compliance function. This role will support corporate, regulatory compliance, and fund legal operations. The ideal candidate has strong document management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.
Compensation: $90,000–$100,000 + Bonus
Location: Stamford, CT
Responsibilities as the Paralegal:
- Provide day-to-day support to the Legal & Compliance team across corporate, governance, regulatory, and fund administration workflows.
- Prepare and respond to investor/client and service-provider requests, including due diligence and KYC inquiries.
- Maintain and update the organization’s legal entity records and related tracking tools.
- Organize and maintain legal and compliance documentation, including corporate records, fund materials, agreements, offering documents, and transaction files for investments and exits.
- Coordinate signature requests and manage document circulation and execution processes.
- Review legal vendor invoices, assist with matter coding/allocation, submit invoices for payment, and track payments and spend.
- Liaise with external compliance vendors and consultants to support recurring regulatory filings and ongoing compliance initiatives.
- Help administer compliance program components such as personal trading oversight, certifications/attestations, and periodic compliance reporting.
- Review, draft, and negotiate NDAs and other routine legal documents, ensuring alignment with internal standards and risk controls.
- Support regulatory examinations, audits, and internal reviews by collecting documents and coordinating responses.
- Assist with compliance-related onboarding and offboarding tasks, including training coordination.
Qualifications for the Paralegal:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 1–3 years of paralegal experience in corporate law and/or investment management (or similar regulated financial services).
- Experience supporting and maintaining legal documentation for corporate entities and/or investment funds.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate across internal teams and external service providers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail, sound judgment, and strong analytical/problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with document management best practices and comfort working with multiple systems and workflows.
