Job Overview – Investment Funds & Corporate Paralegal (Hybrid)
Compensation: $100,000 – $125,000/year + bonus
Location: Stamford, CT
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring an Investment Funds & Corporate Paralegal (Hybrid) in Stamford, CT for our client. In this role, you will support corporate governance and investment fund legal operations, including fund formation, regulatory filings, board materials, and investor requests across registered, unregistered, and foreign investment funds. This position is ideal for an experienced paralegal with investment management exposure and the ability to manage complex legal workflows in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities as the Investment Funds & Corporate Paralegal:
- Corporate & Fund Legal Support: Support the Legal team across corporate governance and investment fund activities, including entity management and fund-related workflows.
- Fund Formation & Agreements: Assist with the drafting, review, and coordination of formation, operating, and offering documentation for corporate entities and investment funds, including side letters and related agreements.
- Documentation & Filings: Prepare and manage standard legal documentation for regulatory, state, and foreign filings using approved templates to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Governance & Board Support: Draft, coordinate, and distribute board and committee materials including agendas, resolutions, notices, and meeting minutes.
- Document Management & Regulatory Support: Maintain document retention systems while supporting regulatory filings, investor questionnaires, KYC requests, and account openings.
Qualifications for the Investment Funds & Corporate Paralegal:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required, with a strong academic record from an accredited university.
- Experience: 5+ years of paralegal experience, ideally within a law firm or investment management environment, with direct exposure to corporate governance and investment fund documentation.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of investment fund structures, corporate entities, and financial markets, including exposure to U.S. registered investment companies preferred.
- Technical Skills: Experience managing legal documentation, regulatory filings, and document retention systems, with proficiency in legal and relationship management platforms.
- Skills & Attributes: Highly detail-oriented professional with strong written and verbal communication skills, sound business judgment, excellent analytical abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
