Compensation: $110,000 – $140,000/year + bonus

Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Data Engineer (Systems Integration) in Stamford, CT for our client, supporting core data infrastructure and integration initiatives. In this in-office role, you will design and maintain data warehouses, ETL pipelines, and system integrations that power reporting, reconciliation, and operational workflows. This hands-on role includes significant greenfield work, standardizing data processes and scaling integrations across internal and external systems over time.

Responsibilities as the Data Engineer (Systems Integration):

  • Data Architecture & Integration Design: Design and implement integration architectures, defining data flows, authentication, and communication patterns across systems.
  • Data & Modeling: Build and maintain data warehouses and data models supporting reporting, reconciliation, and operational analytics.
  • ETL & Pipeline Development: Develop and manage ETL pipelines, scheduled jobs, and scripts to move data across source, operational, and reporting environments.
  • System Integrations & Automation: Maintain and enhance integrations with brokers, exchanges, accounting systems, market data feeds, and internal automation tools.
  • Data Quality, Reconciliation & Monitoring: Implement validation and reconciliation checks, monitor pipelines, and troubleshoot issues to ensure accurate PnL, exposure, and operational reporting.

Qualifications for the Data Engineer (Systems Integration):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field required.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or systems integration roles, with a strong focus on ETL and data infrastructure.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of financial and trading data, including PnL and exposure concepts, with experience supporting reporting, reconciliation, and stakeholder-facing outputs.
  • Technical Skills: Strong Python and SQL expertise with hands-on experience building production data pipelines, ETL processes, data models, and system integrations using APIs and modern data architectures.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, the ability to work deep in code, and a proactive mindset suited to greenfield projects and evolving technical environments.
