Compensation: $125,000 – $150,000/year + bonus

Atlantic Group is hiring a Construction Safety Manager (High-Rise) in Washington, DC for our client. In this on-site role, you will lead jobsite safety programs across complex high-rise construction projects, overseeing tower crane operations, heavy demolition, and multi-trade coordination. You will partner closely with project teams and subcontractors to enforce safety standards, mitigate risk, and promote a strong culture of safety across active, high-density construction environments.

Responsibilities as the Construction Safety Manager (High-Rise):

  • Jobsite Safety Leadership: Develop, implement, and enforce safety programs across high-rise construction sites to ensure OSHA compliance and risk mitigation.
  • High-Rise & Crane Safety: Oversee safety protocols for tower crane operations, heavy demolition, and vertical construction activities.
  • Subcontractor Safety Management: Elevate safety performance across subcontractors through orientations, audits, and ongoing training.
  • Hazard Identification & Mitigation: Conduct site inspections, job hazard analyses, and incident investigations to proactively address safety risks.
  • Training & Compliance: Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions to reinforce best practices and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications for the Construction Safety Manager (High-Rise):

  • Experience: 8+ years of construction safety experience, with a strong background in high-rise construction, tower crane operations, and heavy demolition.
  • Technical Skills: Proven experience enforcing OSHA standards and managing safety programs across complex, multi-employer jobsites.
  • Industry Knowledge: Exposure to asbestos safety protocols and environmental compliance preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Confident communicator and safety leader with the ability to influence diverse subcontractor teams, drive accountability, and maintain a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
