Compensation: $110,000 – $150,000/year + bonus

Atlantic Group is hiring a Multifamily Construction Superintendent in Raleigh, NC for our client, overseeing daily field operations, subcontractor coordination, quality control, and safety across ground-up multifamily projects. This on-site role manages schedules, resolves field issues, and ensures successful delivery of large residential communities. Ideal candidates have extensive experience working for a general contractor on multifamily construction projects.

Responsibilities as the Multifamily Construction Superintendent:

  • Field Supervision & Coordination: Manage daily on-site operations, direct subcontractors, and ensure work aligns with plans, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Schedule & Workflow Management: Track progress, identify delays or conflicts, and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines.
  • Quality Control & Safety Oversight: Conduct site inspections, enforce QA/QC standards, ensure code compliance, and maintain a strong safety culture through regular monitoring and communication.
  • Subcontractor & Issue Resolution: Lead subcontractor meetings, verify work completion, resolve field issues, and coordinate solutions with project managers and design teams.
  • Documentation & Closeout: Maintain daily logs and reports, support RFI and submittal tracking, and oversee punch list and closeout activities to ensure successful project turnover.

Qualifications for the Multifamily Construction Superintendent:

  • Experience: 10-20 years of field supervision experience working for a general contractor on multifamily construction projects.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and subcontractor scopes, with proficiency in construction management software preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of multifamily building systems, sequencing, inspections, safety regulations, and trade coordination processes.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution abilities with a proactive, hands-on approach to managing complex construction sites.
