Job Overview – EPIC Revenue Cycle Specialist (Remote):
Compensation: $23 – $28/hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Remote)

Atlantic Group is hiring an EPIC Revenue Cycle Specialist (Remote) for our healthcare client based in Boston, MA. This fully remote temp role manages end-to-end revenue cycle tasks including charge entry, payment posting, insurance verification, claim submission, and denial resolution. You will work in EPIC to ensure clean claims, accurate billing, and timely reimbursement. Ideal candidates have strong EPIC experience and a solid understanding of healthcare billing workflows.

Responsibilities as the EPIC Revenue Cycle Specialist (Remote):

  • Claims Processing and EPIC Management: Review, submit, and monitor claims while managing patient accounts in EPIC, reconciling charges, and correcting billing errors to ensure clean claims.
  • Denial and Follow-Up Management: Research and appeal denials, resolve outstanding issues, monitor aging reports, and follow up with payers to secure timely reimbursement.
  • Payment Posting and Insurance Verification: Accurately post payments and adjustments while confirming patient eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements.
  • Customer Service and Compliance: Communicate with patients and providers to resolve billing questions while maintaining HIPAA compliance and supporting revenue cycle standards.
  • Reporting and Support: Prepare and update revenue cycle reports and assist with audits and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications for the EPIC Revenue Cycle Specialist (Remote):

  • Education: High school diploma required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of revenue cycle, medical billing, or accounts receivable experience within a healthcare setting.
  • Technical Skills: EPIC experience required, with proficiency in billing software, clearinghouse platforms, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of medical billing, CPT/ICD-10 codes, insurance verification, reimbursement rules, and denial management.
  • Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented, organized professional with strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a proactive approach to resolving billing issues in a remote environment.
